How we verify robot vacuum troubleshooting
Our pages start from manufacturer support articles or owner manuals, not from a universal error-code table. We record the brand, model or series scope, the documented symptom and the manufacturer’s recommended owner-level checks.
Evidence levels
Official model support means the manufacturer page names the exact model. Official series support means the manufacturer applies the procedure to a series or group that includes the target model. Official manual means the troubleshooting comes from the manufacturer’s published owner documentation. Manufacturer-general means an official brand-wide troubleshooting page supports the procedure, but the source is not presented as exclusive to the target model.
Country and language handling
English pages are language-global by default. We do not create separate U.S., U.K., Canadian or Australian URLs when the diagnostic is materially the same. A country-specific variant is warranted only when the model, hardware, electrical requirements, support path or warranty procedure is meaningfully different. Future translated pages are published only after the body content is genuinely localized; they will link bidirectionally to the English source instead of being thin machine-translated shells.
Software and lifecycle notes
We do not invent firmware versions or attribute a fault to an update without manufacturer evidence. When a manufacturer publishes release notes or update instructions, we link them separately and show the date we reviewed the public information. If no public version history is available, we tell owners to record the installed version shown in their app before resetting or contacting support.
Diagnostic ordering
We put reversible, low-risk checks first: power, seating, visible debris, user-serviceable filters and brushes, app settings, and controlled tests. Internal electrical, battery-pack, laser-module and sealed drive repairs are not presented as casual first steps.
Review date and revisions
Every guide displays its review month. Manufacturer firmware and support documentation can change, so the official source is linked directly from the guide. Material evidence-scope or diagnostic changes are recorded in the release audit and source ledger; reader feedback is never displayed as a fabricated vote count.
